Aavesham Review: Just go experience the madness

“Re-Introducing FaFa” said the teaser and the title card. And the film, his character & Fahadh Faasil’s performances totally justifies the re-introducing tag. He totally owns his character Ranga, a local gangster, with his never seen before animated performance. And Jithu Madhavan perfectly knows how to hype up this character and deliver a banging pay off.

Throughout the flashbacks, through which we get to know the background of Ranga, Jithu deliberately doesn’t show Ranga fighting. Even in present times, Ranga doesn’t fight because for a reason. Hence, there is a hype built around the character and the pay offs works so well. Even though Fahadh Faasil doesn’t fight, each of the fight sequence is terrific with some memorable characters like Amban and Nanjappa.

Sajin Gopu as Amban was a show stealer along with Fahadh Faasil. The three teens, Bibi, Santhan and Aju, are fantastic too. And the way Jithu connects these three characters and Ranga is quirky and brilliant. The KGF music was just icing on the cake. Sushin Shyam is another hero for the film. His songs, background score adds swag to Ranga and the film. This film is a solid theatre experience after Thallumaala in action comedy genre.

Verdict: Just go experience the madness
